You can just do things
It’s crazy to think how far you can go in just a few short years if you really want something bad enough. Or, in my case, you quit your job and burn the ships. I wouldn’t actually recommend that tactic, and thank God it actually worked for me. But I genuinely believe my odds of making it were 1/100, maybe even less. But it did work out, and I am still here.
The amazing thing is how simple it all is if you will just not allow yourself to overcomplicate it. I would say that about 95% of the tools you need to get started and make real, life-changing money are free and are readily at your disposal. Gumroad is free and crazy easy to build…well, anything. Upwork is fee-based, but it costs nothing to fire it up and get it going. The Google Suite of products is free or cheap and it is a world-class set of assets.
The tools are all there, they are commonplace and we all either know how to use them or can figure it out, and there are people ready and willing to throw money at you to solve their problems. So what holds so many people back? Probably confidence. Maybe fear of failure. Or worse yet, fear of success. That one might be even more insidious.
I don’t know where you are in the process, but if you are ready to do something with your life and you don’t want to join the Marines, then copywriting is a pretty good option. It is not only crazy useful, but it is also a sort of gateway skill to stack with other high-demand skills to make yourself recession proof.
I’ll keep it short today because you already know what to do. You just need a nudge in the right direction. If you don’t want to write but you have a useful skill, then do that! But quit sitting on the fence and get out there and do.
Ready to start writing for money? I thought so.
